A well-established retail company headquartered in Los Angeles, known for delivering quality products and exceptional customer experiences is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist.
Position Summary:
The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for full-cycle accounts payable, including invoice processing, vendor communication, and payment reconciliation. This role plays a key part in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial operations and works closely with purchasing, receiving, and other departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Review, code, and process high volume of invoices in a timely and accurate manner
Match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices
Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH, and wire payments
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions
Assist with month-end close tasks, including AP accruals and reporting
Communicate with vendors regarding payment inquiries and discrepancies
Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
Qualifications:
2+ years of full-cycle accounts payable experience
Experience in a retail or inventory-based environment preferred
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks)
Ability to handle high-volume processing and meet deadlines
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred
